Meta Conversions API (CAPI) is not a Bangladesh-specific product — but Bangladesh clothing ad accounts suffer most when signal is weak (mobile Facebook, COD confirmation delays). This guide is implementation-neutral.

What you send through CAPI

Direct answer

At minimum: Purchase with value, currency (BDT), content_ids/SKU, and customer parameters (hashed phone/email where policy allows). Optional: AddToCart, InitiateCheckout for funnel diagnostics.

Prerequisites on your stack

Direct answer

Owned checkout that creates order records, Meta Pixel on site, Business Manager access, Dataset/Pixel ID, access token stored server-side, and a documented rule for when COD counts as ‘purchase’.

Deduplication with browser Pixel

Direct answer

Send the same event_name with matching event_id from browser and server so Meta deduplicates — prevents double counting while improving match rate.

FAQ

Same answers as FAQPage structured data on this URL.

Fire Purchase on COD order placed or delivered?
Industry split — many fire on ‘order placed’ for ad speed; some wait for courier pickup. Pick one policy and keep it consistent.
Does CAPI violate privacy?
Follow Meta data terms; hash PII; disclose in privacy policy.
Can agencies set up CAPI only?
Without checkout control, CAPI cannot fix CPO — funnel + platform first.
Test events tool?
Use Meta Events Manager test events before scaling budget.
Adexcell default?
Pixel + CAPI baseline on clothing platform go-live — custom event mapping per brand.
